Brazilian Moto2 rider Diogo Moreira has signed a multi-year deal with Honda Racing Corporation which will see him contest the 2026 MotoGP World Championship with the Honda LCR MotoGP Team.
Diogo Moreira hails from São Paulo and made his World Championship debut in 2022 in the Moto3 World Championship. From 39 lightweight class starts, he claimed one win, three podiums and two pole positions before moving up to the intermediate Moto2 class. Rookie of the year in 2024, he has evolved into a consistent front runner in 2025 and continues to battle for the World Championship. A debut win in Assen was complimented with victory in Austria alongside five additional podiums, including a victory at the most recent round in Indonesia.
The move will see Moreira debut with LCR Honda alongside the experienced Johann Zarco and continues Honda and LCR’s long-standing commitment to developing young talent. Moreira has shown exceptional talent, consistency and adaptability throughout his racing career, quickly highlighting himself as one of the most promising riders of his generation.
