Strong performance puts Zarco straight into Q2 at Brno
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco finishes 2nd on rainy Friday at Brno Circuit.

・ After nearly five years away from last time we raced at Brno, Johann Zarco and the team enjoyed a strong return to the Czech circuit, with the French rider finishing 2nd and earning direct access to Q2.
・ Despite the changing weather conditions, Zarco felt comfortable on the bike. He noted that by making improvements in areas like corner entry, there’s strong potential for a competitive weekend.
・ With an eye on the evolving weather forecast and a clear focus on maximizing the current package, both Zarco and the LCR team are determined to make the most of a track that holds great memories for them.
Nakagami completes Friday sessions at Brno
IDEMITSU Honda LCR replacement rider Takaaki Nakagami finishes 21st on Friday at Brno.
・ Following Somkiat Chantra’s recent injury, Japanese rider Takaaki Nakagami has stepped in to support the IDEMITSU Honda LCR team this weekend at Brno.
・ Friday's sessions brought a mix of dry, wet, and changing track conditions, clearly complicating the team’s initial plans.
・ With the circuit last used in the championship in 2020 and now resurfaced, Nakagami admitted to finding good grip levels in dry conditions.
・ The Japanese rider noted some positives, while also identifying areas for improvement in order to secure the best possible result ahead of Saturday’s qualifying and Sprint.

It was an interesting Friday, and I’m happy to be back in Brno. Securing a direct spot in Q2 again is definitely a positive thing. This track has a very unique layout, if we can manage the bike well on corner entry, we have a strong chance for the weekend. I’m feeling confident in both wet and dry conditions. Tomorrow we’ll test some different setups. Today, we were able to confirm some key information to help Honda’s development, and I’m satisfied with the work we’ve done.

This morning's first outing felt good; the new surface offered plenty of grip. In full wet conditions, the feeling remained consistent, but I struggled a bit when the track became mixed; those moments were more challenging. I’m happy to be back with the LCR family this weekend. I’ll try to support the team as much as I can and, as always, give my absolute best.
