Encouraging signs for Zarco in Germany
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco finishes 12th on Friday at the Sachsenring.

French rider Johann Zarco and his crew experienced a roller coaster day at the Sachsenring. FP1 began with a crash, but Zarco bounced back impressively to finish the session in 4th place, showing solid pace and a positive feeling on the bike.
During the afternoon Practice session, Zarco initially secured a spot in Q2. However, in the final stages, while pushing to improve his lap time, a second crash prevented him from consolidating his position, ultimately finishing the day 12th.
Although he did not gain direct access to Q2, Zarco acknowledged making a step forward and reported good sensations on the bike.
With rain forecasted for Saturday, Zarco and the team remain focused and committed to delivering a strong performance in both qualifying and the Sprint.

It was a solid afternoon of work, with clear progress and much better control of the bike. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get the time attack, I hit the limit. I was frustrated to miss out on Q2, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had such a positive feeling on the bike. I’m confident we can continue refining the setup; it’s encouraging to have found this direction. I’m curious to see what we can achieve now that we’ve found some consistency. If it rains tomorrow, it could actually turn into an opportunity for us.
