Johann Zarco kicks off home Grand Prix with solid pace at Le Mans
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco has finished 12th on Friday at Le Mans in front of his home crowd.

・ Johann Zarco finished the opening day of his home Grand Prix at Le Mans in 12th position.
・ The French rider displayed strong pace during the afternoon session, showing encouraging form in front of the home fans. Unfortunately, a crash while pushing for a direct spot in Q2 ended his chances of automatic qualification.
・ Despite the setback, the team remains confident heading into the rest of the weekend.
・ After today, tomorrow’s goal will be to push, advance to Q2, and secure a strong grid position for both the Sprint and Sunday’s race at home.

I’m disappointed to have missed Q2 today, but unfortunately, the feeling on the bike didn’t improve from FP1 to Practice. In Jerez, we addressed the issue, and I was expecting to feel a bit better, but we are working hard to find a solution. Tomorrow, I hope we can get back to a better feeling and keep pushing. We’re all super motivated to make it happen and I really want to do a nice job in front of my crowd.
