Johann Zarco claims 4th place in Lusail
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco delivered an impressive performance on Sunday, finishing 4th in the Grand Prix of Qatar at Lusail International Circuit.

・ The Frenchman started from 7th on the grid and, just like in Saturday’s Sprint, got off to a strong start.
・ From the opening laps, Zarco felt comfortable on the bike and quickly settled into a consistent rhythm, managing the race with calm precision and avoiding mistakes.
・ He battled hard with his rivals right up to the final corner, crossing the line in 5th place as the top Honda rider.
・ Following the race, a penalty issued to another competitor promoted Zarco to 4th position in the final classification.
・ This marks Honda’s best Sunday race result since the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix (Marc Marquez, 3rd).
・ With this result, Zarco now sits 6th in the overall standings, while the CASTROL Honda LCR holds 7th in the teams' championship.
Somkiat Chantra completes Sunday race in Qatar
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Somkiat Chantra crossed the finish line in 18th place in Sunday’s race at the Lusail International Circuit.
・ The Thai rider had to push hard from 22nd on the grid.
・ Throughout the race, Chantra improved his pace and steadily closed the gap to his rivals, gaining confidence and a better feeling on the bike.
・ Despite the challenges, he reported feeling more comfortable and progressively finding his rhythm.
・ After today's race, the team is fully committed to improving for the next one, which will be held in Jerez in two weeks' time.

Fighting for the podium and having that pace and that feeling on the bike it’s something really cool. We’ve worked really well this weekend, and this result is proof of that and the work we’ve been doing since last year. I feel I can control the bike better now, and that allows me to perform at a higher level. Let’s try to keep the momentum going; we’re steadily making progress, and that’s what really matters.

It was a tough race, although I felt some improvements on the bike since yesterday. We are working hard to always do better, and step by step we are getting there. I cannot wait to arrive in Jerez and start the European races!
