The Frenchman started from 12th on the grid after a challenging qualifying session in the morning. At race time, he got off to a strong start and battled fiercely for points, fighting rivals down to the final inches of the race. Sunday’s race will be a demanding one due to the high temperatures in Buriram, but it will be crucial for continuing progress.

Somkiat Chantra showed strong pace during the morning sessions and qualifying. He started from 21st on the grid, ready to take on his first-ever Sprint race. After 13 intense laps, he crossed the line in 19th place, enjoying the race and demonstrating resilience against Buriram’s demanding heat.
The heat was tough to handle, and I struggled to overtake one of my rivals. We were really close to the points, but a lack of grip made it hard to maintain the pace. I made too many mistakes and missed the opportunity in this first Sprint. However, with the information we gathered, we’ll do our best to fight for points in tomorrow’s race.
