Starting from the 18th spot on the grid, Nakagami faced a hard Sprint on Malaysian soil, as some vibrations on the bike prevented him from feeling confident enough to squeeze his package. Despite the challenges, he demonstrated his ability to adapt, finishing the race and gathering information to find a solution alongside the crew to fight for the points ahead of tomorrow's race.
Unexpected Sprint for Johann Zarco in Malaysia
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco hasn't been able to finish the Sprint race in Sepang.
Saturday started with high hopes for Zarco and the LCR crew: he had been strong in the morning session, made his way to Q2, and classified 11th on the grid. However, after a tough start to the race, a technical problem finished with his options, forcing the rider to retire.
After analyzing the data, the team is fully committed to making the necessary adjustments in order to be ready for tomorrow's race.
The Sprint has been challenging as I could not get the feeling to push due to some vibrations, and it was difficult to keep the pace. However, I focused on not making mistakes and gathering information to improve on tomorrow’s race. It was a pity because this morning’s pace was quite strong.
