Nakagami takes points in Jerez
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami finished 14th on Sunday in Jerez.

Facing an intense comeback race from the 24th spot on the grid, Japanese Nakagami made a good start and consistently recovered positions as the laps went by. Despite the difficulties over the weekend, the rider has proved his determination and passion for this circuit, as he’s crossed the line 14th, grabbing points for the classification.
CASTROL Honda LCR rider Johann Zarco crashed in Jerez on Sunday’s race.
After a solid start to the race, Frenchman Zarco was fighting for the points when a contact with another rival caused him to crash. It was declared a race incident, and the rider didn’t suffer any consequences, which was the most important thing.
Johann and the crew took a step forward over the weekend. Despite the race setbacks, their performance has improved significantly, giving hope for the following events.

It was a tough race; however, I had a consistent pace. The main issue was the lack of front feeling, but we are working hard to fix it. Tomorrow, we’ve got a test, which would be crucial to deciding which areas can improve for the next Grand Prix.

One of my rivals tried to overtake me, but he was late on the maneuver, lost the front, and hit my bike. These things can happen; it was a race incident. We’d done a good job until that moment, which is positive. We’ll keep pushing to improve and consistently fight for the points.
