Solid Sprint for Nakagami in Indonesia

Despite a difficult qualifying in the morning and starting from the back of the grid, Nakagami made a good start at the Sprint and, lap by lap, overcame riders. Today, after some adjustments, he felt comfortable on the bike and fought against rivals for the Top 10. The Japanese almost got points and finally crossed the line 11th. The information gathered during the Sprint will undoubtedly serve to take another step for tomorrow’s race.

Alex Rins Finishes the Sprint in Indonesia

LCR Honda CASTROL rider Alex Rins has finished 18th in his first Sprint after his return since the injury suffered last June.

The first mission to unlock on his way to recovery after testing his feelings on the bike was to finish a race, and today, at the Mandalika Circuit, LCR rider Alex Rins has demonstrated his inner strength and commitment until the last lap. Struggling and feeling a lot of pain in his right leg, the Spaniard has managed to stay with the group, push, and cross the finish line. Continuing with the hard work and taking one step at a time, Alex and the crew have had a solid Saturday in Indonesia.

Honestly, I’m quite happy. We nearly got to the points, but the main thing is that I’ve felt better after some small changes in the balance of the bike. Now, I’ve got more confidence when turning, and I believe we are on the right path. Let’s keep pushing!

I can’t deny it; it’s been a hard race. To finish the Sprint was the next step, and we’ve done it; that means we are closer to our goal, which is to recover and return to my performance and I’m working hard to feel better every day. I want to thank the team for the job done.
