Demanding race for Nakagami in Austria

LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Takaaki Nakagami has crossed the line 18th at the Spielberg Circuit.

After a difficult weekend in which Nakagami couldn't finish yesterday's sprint because of a crash, today's main goal was to push while testing and gathering information. In the end, tyres and high temperatures played a massive role, and he couldn't score points.

LCR Honda CASTROL replacement rider Iker Lecuona has finished 20th at the Spielberg Circuit

Making the most of the package and controlling the situation, Lecuona had made a good start but, unfortunately, struggled with the rear tyre and lost positions as the laps went by. He didn’t give up and finished the race gathering valuable information for HRC.

Today, we've tried different things to help HRC, because we are in a difficult situation and want to find a solution. Of course, we are disappointed as we haven't scored points, but taking data was crucial to take further steps. I mainly struggled with the rear grip, so let's keep working and try again in Barcelona
