Takaaki Nakagami Completes a Solid Friday in Assen
TT Circuit AssenLCR Honda IDEMITSU Takaaki Nakagami has finished 14th on the combined standings of Friday practices at the Circuit of Assen.
Coming from a tough weekend at the Sachsenring, Nakagami and the crew have managed to take a solid step forward and have had an interesting Friday. The Japanese classified 7th in the morning session and admitted feeling better than last week. In the afternoon, some wind jeopardized the plans, and Takaaki has classified 14th.
LCR Honda CASTROL replacement rider Stefan Bradl has finished 21st on the combined standings of Friday at the Circuit of Assen.
The first day back on track with LCR for the German rider, replacing Alex Rins, has been difficult, as Bradl didn't feel good with the bike's rear end. He admits not being able to push the way he’d like to. To look at the bright side, Brad has provided helpful information to keep improving the bike.
Honestly, this morning I felt good on the bike, and I believe we could do even better in the afternoon, but somehow was difficult, I didn’t have the feeling and the wind made it more difficult. The positive thing is that in terms of lap time, we are not that far, the gap is quite tight. Let’s see if we can fix some details and take another step tomorrow.

The goal of the weekend is to help improve the bike and avoid making mistakes. I still am not riding the way I’d like to, but we are working hard. I like racing with LCR, it brings me many nice memories and I feel at home, I can only thank them for their job today!
