Alex Rins takes 3rd position in Mugello
Autodromo Internazionale del MugelloLCR Honda CASTROL rider Alex Rins has finished 3rd on the combined standings of Friday sessions at the Mugello Circuit.
Alex has carried out a consistent Friday in which pace and solid improvements have led him to the 3rd spot on the sheets. Rins has set his fastest lap time without references and feels good on the bike. The rider is now determined to make the most of the qualifying and the Sprint on Saturday.
LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Takaaki Nakagami has ended up 18th on the general standings of Friday on Italian soil. A lack of feeling and a crash in the afternoon have turned Friday's action on track into a difficult first day in Mugello for the Japanese rider. Nakagami admits having felt better during Practice 1, but things got complicated when trying to improve his performance in the second session. Now the main goal is to revert the situation and to fight for the best possible result on Saturday's Sprint.
We've got a decent pace from this morning, and in the afternoon, we've managed to nail the job with a fast lap time. I've felt comfortable on the bike, and I like this track, so let's keep working on some details; I believe we can do a good job this weekend
