Nestled on Italy's Adriatic coast near Misano Adriatico in the Province of Rimini, the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli has been a fixture of the MotoGP calendar since 2007. The 4.2km Grand Prix layout features 16 corners that reward precision and hard braking, making it a demanding test for rider and machine alike. With its passionate Italian crowds and rich Grand Prix heritage, Misano remains one of the most atmospheric and historically resonant rounds on the MotoGP calendar.

The San Marino GP is Luca Marini’s home race, the #10 living just a few kilometres from the circuit and hosts him for frequent training days. In 2025, Marini achieved a pair of seventh place finishes in Misano – a solid base to build from this year. Having made improvements to his Qualifying setup last time out in Aragon, the Italian is determined to get into Q2 and chase the leading group rather than spending his race carving through the pack. 11th in the World Championship, Marini is just two points shy of Aldeguer and ready to take the fight down to the wire.

Returning to the points in Aragon, Joan Mir is now looking to turn the result into a consistent streak in this crucial final part of the year. Mir and the team are aiming to extract the maximum from their current package and the Majorca-born 2020 World Champion will be targeting a clean, mistake-free weekend to convert his well-documented braking prowess and racecraft into solid points. While Honda continues to work hard to close the gap to the front-runners, Mir will need to carry the momentum of recent progress into a strong result for the Castrol-backed factory squad.
