Race 2: P8 on the grid → P25

Race 2 began at 6:20pm on Saturday 1 August, with the top 10 from qualifying starting in reverse order. Tsuchihashi lined up eighth on the grid. As in Race 1, fierce battles broke out across the field from the opening lap, with positions changing rapidly in the midfield.

Tsuchihashi dropped to 11th on the opening lap but fought back to 10th on Lap 2, ninth on Lap 3 and eighth on Lap 4. An incident shortly afterwards brought out the Safety Car.

Racing resumed with around 15 minutes remaining, but Tsuchihashi was hit from behind on the first lap after the restart, puncturing his right-rear tyre. He was forced to pit and rejoined in 25th place.

Unable to recover any further positions, Tsuchihashi finished the race in 25th.
