Tsuchihashi qualifies P28 after contact damage
Round 2 of the 2026 French F4 Championship, organised by the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA) Academy, was held at Circuit Dijon-Prenois from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 May.

Kota Tsuchihashi competed as part of Honda’s young driver development programme, the Honda Formula Dream Project (HFDP).
Dijon-Prenois
Round 2 was held at Dijon-Prenois Circuit, located in Prenois on the outskirts of Dijon, France. When it hosted Formula 1 Grands Prix from 1974 through to the 1980s, the circuit was regarded as one of the fastest tracks in Europe. Although a low-speed corner was added during later modifications and the circuit length was extended to 3.801km, much of the layout still consists of long straights and high-speed corners.
Qualifying
Changeable weather conditions continued throughout the weekend, with sunshine, rain and strong winds affecting the event. Qualifying, held on the afternoon of 15 May, took place in difficult conditions as the track evolved from wet to dry. The drivers headed out on wet tyres and attempted to set competitive lap times, but the session was interrupted twice by red flags following a number of incidents in the early stages. Many lap times were also deleted for track limits violations, making for a particularly challenging session.
Tsuchihashi sustained damage to his car after contact with another driver in an incident that was difficult to avoid, preventing him from completing a full qualifying attack. He finished 28th based on his fastest lap time and 24th based on his second-fastest lap time.
