Honda HRC checks in to the Czech Republic for WorldSBK round 5

Autodrom Most is the next destination for the Honda HRC team, with the Czech circuit ready to host the fifth round of the 2026 Superbike World Championship this coming weekend.

Full-time entry Somkiat Chantra will again be tasked with learning a new track, with the Thai rookie having never ridden at Most before. Once more, Chantra will be joined in the garage by Yuki Kunii, who stands in for the recovering Jake Dixon for a second time after competing in WorldSBK for the first time at the recent Hungarian round.

Round four concluded less than two weeks ago in Hungary, at Balaton Park. Chantra and substitute rider Kunii both learned valuable lessons that they will strive to carry forward into the upcoming Czech round. While Somkiat continues to work on his consistency, Yuki has another opportunity to broaden his experience and knowledge.

Constructed between 1978 and 1983, Autodrom Most became the first purpose-built permanent racing circuit in what was then Czechoslovakia. The track, which measures 4.212 km in length, features a varied configuration with 21 corners. Located roughly 100 km to the northwest of Prague, it has hosted the production-derived championship since 2021.

“Most is another new circuit for me, so during the week off I watched some videos and tryed to understand the layout a bit, braking points and key sections before getting on the bike. Every new track is an important opportunity for me and for the work we are doing with the team and bike. I’m looking forward to continuing to build my experience step by step throughout the weekend. I hope the fans will continue to support us here in Most; rest assured, we will keep working hard during the season to improve.”

“I want to thank the Honda HRC team and HRC for the opportunity to join the team once again, and I wish Jake all the best for a speedy recovery. I’m looking forward to racing at Most this weekend. This will be my first time at the circuit, so it’s another important experience for me and another opportunity to continue learning and adapting to the Superbike. My targets this weekend are to keep growing my experience, to improve step by step and to do my best in every session for myself and the team. I’ll work hard, enjoy the weekend and try to make further progress throughout the round.”
