Toni Bou and Gabriel Marcelli win Trial of Nations with Spain
ArteixoThe Repsol Honda HRC riders, together with Jaime Busto, win in Arteixo and take Spain’s 32nd title in the competition.
Spain once again reigned supreme in the Trial of Nations in the 2026 edition. Toni Bou and Gabriel Marcelli, together with Jaime Busto, represented their country in Arteixo, where they put in a solid performance to take victory. Great Britain, with riders Harry Hemingway, George Hemingway and Harry Turner, finished second, while Italy, with Matteo Grattarola, Francesco Titli and Gianluca Tournour, completed the podium.
The Spanish riders were at a high level throughout the fifteen zones. Their title was the 32nd for Spain in the Trial of Nations, the last 22 coming consecutively. Toni Bou has been part of the winning team 21 times, while Gabriel Marcelli’s win was his fourth in four appearances.
Spain took the lead from the opening zones and completed the first lap with only eight penalty points. The conditions changed on the second lap with the appearance of rain, which increased the difficulty of the terrain. Despite this, Bou, Marcelli and Busto adapted and maintained a great pace, accruing just 14 penalty points to ensure victory and prolong Spain's dominance in the competition.
After closing the outdoor season with victory, the next challenge for Repsol Honda HRC will come on November 28th in Madrid, at the first round of the 2027 X-Trial World Championship.
