Third one-two of the year for Repsol Honda Team

Toni Bou goes into the summer break with 177 points, as Gabriel Marcelli remains in second place with 135.

The fifth round of the season was held in Comblain-au-Pont (Belgium), and was the last before the summer break for the TrialGP World Championship. The Repsol Honda Team riders once again showed their skills, on terrain with muddy areas due to rain the previous day. Toni Bou earned the victory and teammate Gabriel Marcelli was second.

Bou goes into the summer break with a healthy lead in the series. The Repsol Honda rider started the day by leading the first lap, with 21 penalty points. For the second lap, the Montesa Cota 4RT rider remained in front, with an advantage of 11 points over his nearest rival. This win was an eighth of the campaign so far for Bou, who moves up to 177  points in the championship.

Marcelli closed the first half of the season on the podium. On the opening lap, despite the equality in points and the muddy areas, he rounded out the Top 3. He was at his best on Lap 2, and was the man who incurred the fewest penalty points -17- to earn second place. It was his seventh podium of the season and keeps him second in the standings.

The next round takes place from August 25th in Cahors (France) in where Toni Bou will have his first chance to become the 2024 TrialGP World Champion. Bou leads Marcelli by 42 points in the title chase.

Today's result is very good in general terms and we cannot ask for much more. Things are going very well for us this season, so I can only thank the team for all the work they have done to make all this possible. We head into the summer break with a very good feeling and with important points for the standings. We still have to finish the season off, but the truth is that we have had a very, very good first half.

I'm very happy and satisfied with how the day went today in Belgium. I was riding well, even though I felt the pressure for the overall standings, and we finished it off with a great second lap to finish on the podium in second position. It's a good result which gives us peace of mind and extra motivation for what lies ahead. We have one race left in the Spanish Championship before the summer break, so we are looking forward to continuing in in the same way. Thank you to the team for a great job.

I'm very happy with the result for both riders today. From the first lap, Toni made the difference with respect to the rest of the riders. On tough areas like Zone 7 he was able to pull through, and that was important for the victory. Gabri made progress on the first lap, and on the second he was the rider with the fewest points. It is an important one-two for the team and this is the goal we always fight for. Thank you all for the great work you have done and in Cahors we will return stronger.
