The 2026 TrialGP World Championship reaches its third round this weekend in Camerino, Italy, a venue returning to the calendar. It will be the first time Toni Bou and Gabriel Marcelli compete there with Repsol Honda HRC, and the team are in excellent shape after securing two consecutive one-two finishes in the first two rounds of the season. Bou remains at the top of the overall standings, while Marcelli currently holds second place.

Toni Bou finds himself in top form, having won all eight races in the first two rounds of the season, and leads the standings with 160 points. He holds a 34-point advantage over Marcelli, his closest rival. Italy is a course Bou knows very well after many years competing there. The Montesa Cota 4RT rider's goal will be to fight for two more victories on a weekend that promises to be demanding due to the close competition and the high level of his rivals.

Marcelli arrives at the third round of the year in great form after securing two second-place finishes in Andorra, turning things around after a difficult start to the season in Japan. Thanks to his strong results a week ago, the Repsol Honda HRC rider has climbed to second place in the overall standings and heads to Italy with the objective of maintaining this positive momentum and fighting for his first victory of the year. He has a 14-point advantage over Jaime Busto in third place.

The action kicks off on Friday with technical and administrative checks, a visit to the track areas, and the Super Test, which will determine the starting order for Saturday. The competition will take place over Saturday and Sunday.

“The season has started better than I expected, especially in terms of my fitness. I felt very comfortable last weekend, but we'll be looking to maintain that momentum to score as many points as possible. Italy is always a race I love; it's new terrain, so we'll see what we encounter. With the new regulations, consistency is key, so we'll fight to stay near the front and take the win.”

“It’s not that I did anything different in Andorra. I think that in Japan, with it being the start of the championship and with the rule changes, the nerves and pressure got the better of me. After this past weekend, I feel closer to fighting for the win, so that’s obviously the goal, although we know it won’t be easy. Italy could be the opportunity to get my first victory of the year.”

“We're arriving in Italy with the team in a very positive place after the first two rounds of the season. Toni has done a perfect job so far, achieving every available victory, and that allows us to approach this race with confidence, although we know the level will be very high. I'm also very happy with Gabri's progress; he's bounced back after a difficult start in Japan and arrives in Camerino in second place in the standings. Italy is always a demanding race, so it will be important to stay focused from the first zone and continue working as a team to achieve the best results.”
