Repsol Honda HRC return to action in Cahors after summer break
CahorsToni Bou arrives in France as the series leader with 310 points, while Gabriel Marcelli is just one point off second place.
The 2026 TrialGP World Championship returns this weekend after more than a month-long summer break. Cahors, France, will host the fifth round of the season, marking the series' return to the French town for the first time since 2024. The event will be a single-day competition on Sunday. Repsol Honda HRC enter the final stretch of the season with Toni Bou leading the overall standings on 310 points and Gabriel Marcelli in third place with 229, just one point behind Jaime Busto in second.
Bou had an exceptional first half of the season. Before the break, the Montesa Cota 4RT rider secured another clean sweep of victories at Anglesey, Great Britain, further strengthening his overall lead. He will be looking to quickly regain his race pace at a track that holds fond memories for him, as he clinched the outdoor world title there on his last visit in 2024. With the championship entering a decisive phase, the goal will be to maintain the consistency shown so far and continue accumulating as many points as possible.
Marcelli was second in Anglesey. He recovered from a difficult first race with a second and a third place on Sunday, results that allowed him to close out the last round before the break on a high note. He arrives in Cahors third in the standings with 229 points and with second place as one of his main objectives. The Repsol Honda HRC rider will be looking to be competitive from the very first sections and fight for a podium finish.
Saturday will feature technical and administrative checks, a visit to the sections, practice sessions, and the Super Test, which will determine the starting grid for Sunday.
