Bou remains unstoppable and extends overall lead

The fourth round of the 2026 TrialGP season got underway on Saturday in Anglesey (UK), a venue that was new to all the riders. Toni Bou achieved a double victory, with Gabriel Marcelli fourth and sixth in the two races, respectively.
Bou kicked things off with a strong pace, posting a clean in the first section and incurring just one penalty point in the second, before stringing together four consecutive error-free zones. Not even the rain could slow down the Montesa Cota 4RT rider, who ended the lap with 18 penalty points to claim victory.
In the 'Race 2', Bou maintained the same level of concentration and consistency. Even when the rain stopped, the terrain remained extremely tricky and slippery. He raised his performance level even further, completing a magnificent second lap with just 12 penalty points. This result allowed him to clinch another victory and extend his lead at the top of the overall standings.
Marcelli started the competition strongly, remaining in contention for a podium spot for much of the first lap. However, the rain completely altered the course conditions, making it difficult for him to find his pace in the more technical sections. He finished the first race in fourth place with 33 penalty points.
In 'Race 2', the Repsol Honda HRC rider tried to turn things around right from the start, though the tricky terrain made it difficult. Marcelli incurred several penalties in the opening sections, forcing him to play catch-up for the remainder. He staged a strong comeback in the final stretch, significantly improving his feel for the bike in the last four zones, though he ultimately had to settle for sixth place.
Bou continues to lead the overall standings with 280 points, while Gabriel Marcelli sits in third, just 1 point behind Jaime Busto. The British round of the series concludes on Sunday.

I couldn't find the right feeling at any point, although I did manage to make a small step forward at the end of the second lap. Tomorrow, the first step will be analysing the weather and planning our strategy from there. I’ll have to grit my teeth and push hard to improve.”
