Montesa Cota 4RT

Based on the commercial Montesa Trial model Cota 4RT, this machine has been developed by HRC in cooperation with Montesa Honda. Engine displacement has been increased in order to optimise control and performance necessary for high level sections of WCT.

The fuel injection system PGM-FI make possible to have required engine response in each terrain or condition. Performance and reliability are stronger points of this machine.

The Cota 4RT’s lightweight, fuel-injected, four-valve 258.9cc four-stroke engine delivers smooth and controllable power. The fuel injection system PGM-FI makes it possible to set the required engine response in each different terrain or condition for absolute control.

The twin-spar aluminium frame is matched to a 175mm stroke Showa front fork and 170mm stroke Showa damper operating through Pro-Link; both are adjustable for compression damping and spring preload. Ground clearance is set at 310mm.

With a four-speed gearbox and two litre fuel tank, the machine weighs in at just 70kg, creating an incredibly agile, balanced and world-beating motorcycle capable of tackling the most extreme of challenges thrown at it. The Montesa Cota 4RT is the bike to be on in both the TrialGP and X-Trial Championships, where Toni Bou has been champion for 17 consecutive years.
