Nobuharu Matsushita began racing karts after being inspired watching the Formula 1 Japan Grand Prix. After accumulating wins in numerous junior categories, Matsushita graduates top-of-the-class from the SRS-F. We went on to become the Formula Challenge Japan (FCJ) champion the following year.

In 2013, Matsushita competed in the All Japan F3 championship, and became champion in his second season. In 2015 he moved to Europe taking on the GP2 series, and finished his debut season ninth with three podiums including a win. From 2016, he added to his GP2 activities Formula 1 McLaren Honda test / development driver.

In 2017 he continued to compete in the newly renamed FIA-F2, which he finished sixth overall in, and his duties as McLaren Honda test / development driver. In 2018 he returned to Japan, and started racing in SUPER FORMULA with DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING.

In 2019 Matsushita once again returned to FIA-F2 where he won two grands prix that season, and one race in 2020. He also began racing mid-season in SUPER FORMULA for Buzz Racing with B-Max, and raced to his first podium in the final round at Fuji.

In the 2021 season, Matsushita will be racing with B-Max Racing Team from Round 2, but finished in 8th.

In 2022, he also joined the Honda in SUPER GT and competed for the title until the final round. In 2023, he finished on the podium twice in SUPER GT and finished sixth in the ranking.
For 2024, the team will enter the season as a new member of ARTA in SUPER GT and TGM Grand Prix in Super Formula.
