Tadasuke Makino

In 2015, Tadasuke Makino finished second in the FIA F4 championship, won JAF F4, graduated from Suzuka Circuit Racing School Formula (SRS-F), and earned a scholarship.

In 2016, Makino moved up to All Japan F3 C class racing, ranking fifth in his debut season. He raced in Round 6 of the SUPER GT season, the 45th International Suzuka 1000km, and in the following round in Thailand, drove with teammate Hideki Mutoh to second place in the GT500 class, making them the best NSX CONCEPT-GT performer of the race. In 2017, Makino moved to the FIA Formula 3 European Championship.

Makino’s debut season in Formula 3 European racing was not easy, as his car, and every track, were completely new to him. Despite injuries during the season, in the end he managed to finish with the best results within his team. In 2018 Makino succeeded in securing a spot in FIA Formula 2 racing, and won Race 1 at Monza. He became the first Japanese driver to win a F2 Race 1 where the starting grid is determined by qualifying.

In 2019, Makino returned to Japanese racing. In SUPER GT, he finished 12th in the GT500 class with Modulo Nakajima Racing. In SUPER FORMULA, he was 16th overall with TCS NAKAJIMA RACING.

In 2020, Makino switched teams in SUPER GT to TEAM KUNIMITSU, and with Naoki Yamamoto won the championship. In SUPER FORMULA, he finished 12th overall.

In 2021, he challenged the GT500 class as the defending champion, but finished 4th. In Super Formula, he moved to DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING and finished 9th overall. In 2022, he took one win in SUPER GT and finished 3rd overall and 5th in Super Formula.
