TOKYO, Japan, September 27, 2023 – Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) today announced that it will hold Honda’s first official e-motorsports event, Honda Racing eMS 2023, using the Gran Turismo 7 (published by Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.) for PlayStation^®5 (PS5^®) ^* and PlayStation^®4 (PS4^®)^* from September 28 - October 29 (qualifying), and on December 10, 2023 (final).

HRC, the motorsports arm of Honda, will host the Honda Racing eMS 2023 e-motorsports event for the purpose of offering more people a firsthand opportunity to experience the fun of driving race machines and excitement of motorsports.

For the first part of the event, the “GT Fastest Attack 2023,” participants will compete globally for the fastest lap time using Civic Type R featured in Gran Turismo 7. Then, among those who participated in the time attack event from Japan, the 10 top-ranked participants from each of two classes, the “U17 Class” for participants 17 years old or under and the “Challenge Class” for participants 18 years old or older, will be invited to participate in the “GT Grand Final 2023.” This final race event will be held on December 10, 2023 at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo, Japan.
