After a tough start to the Sprint, from the 18th spot of the grid, Frenchman Zarco cleverly managed the situation and avoided mistakes, as the Circuit of Mugello is one of the most demanding of the calendar. Ultimately, he crossed the line 15th, gathering valuable information ahead of tomorrow’s race.
IDEMITSU Honda LCR rider Takaaki Nakagami has finished 16th on Saturday's Sprint .
Starting from the 23rd spot of the grid, Nakagami had to face a comeback Sprint through the Mugello lines. The Japanese managed to overtake rivals from the Sprint's first stages, setting a promising pace in the fight for the points. Ultimately, he crossed the line 16th, gathering valuable information ahead of tomorrow's Sprint.
Today’s Sprint has been intense, but we kept a decent pace considering the general situation. I could have done better initially, but I wanted to avoid mistakes and that's why I lost time at the beginning. Tomorrow, we will have another opportunity to try and fight for the points.
