Nakagami completes first day of track action in Valencia

Nakagami and the crew have experienced a demanding Friday as a crash in the morning (without consequences for the rider). Several issues with track conditions in the afternoon have affected the final performance. The positive thing is that he almost got straight to Q2, but in the end, he crossed the line 16th and will have to go through Q1 to push for the best grid spot possible.

LCR Honda CASTROL rider Alex Rins ended 19th on Friday in Valencia.

Back in business after the last surgery, the Spaniard has carried out the first day of track action at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit. He’s still recovering and feeling pain in his right leg, but the #42 has pushed and done some solid laps. However, a crash in the afternoon has jeopardized the plans, and he will have to go through Q1 tomorrow.

I’m fine after the crash. It’s been a busy day; the track conditions don’t help, and this is an extremely demanding track. Let’s see if we can do a solid qualifying to enjoy the Sprint in the afternoon.

I’ve got a better feeling than in Australia and this is positive. I still feel some pain but overall, we’ve managed to finish the day after doing a solid job. Let’s see how Saturday goes!
