Positive Friday for Rins in Australia

He is still injured and feeling pain, but in a track he likes, Spaniard Rins has performed a Friday in which not even his right leg's difficulties have stopped him. Being the warrior he is, he's pushed and finished the day as the 12th on the standings and almost got straight to Q2.

LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Takaaki Nakagami has finished 21st on Friday at Phillip Island.

The Phillip Island Circuit has historically been one of the hardest ones for Nakagami. Today, trying to make the most of his package, the Japanese have compared items to decide which path to follow. Ultimately, he’s struggled to get the feeling and has closed the day as the 21st on the classification.

It’s been a positive day. We are working to improve in some areas, and despite the pain I’m feeling in the right leg, I almost get to Q2. Besides, in terms of lap times we are close, which is important. The races will be tough, but I’ll try my best.

I didn’t expect that feeling on the bike. This morning we tried some things which I didn’t like. I compared the two bikes this afternoon, but honestly, we need to decide how to use all my potential at the high-speed corners. We are analyzing the data to take a step and improve.
