Difficult Friday in Barcelona for Takaaki Nakagami
Circuit de Barcelona-CatalunyaLCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Takaaki Nakagami has completed the first day of track action at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya.
An issue on the bike during the first stages of the afternoon session has jeopardized the initial plans at the Idemitsu box. After controlling and analyzing the data, Nakagami and the crew are determined to set a more precise plan to take further steps to push and fight on the Sprint and the Sunday race.
LCR Honda CASTROL replacement rider Iker Lecuona has completed the first day of track action at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya.
Helping the team, providing helpful information, and serving with his knowledge and experience, Spaniard Lecuona is occupying Rins’ side of the box this weekend. The Grand Prix of Catalunya means the third week of hard work together: the rider and the crew get along well, and although the final position doesn’t reflect it, it’s been a solid Friday.
The situation is difficult for everybody; we are trying our best with our package, but today has been demanding. Somehow, we struggle when looking for the grip, and we all are working hard to take steps to be ready for the Sprint and the race on Sunday.
Despite the position on the timesheets, I'm happy because I can keep the speed and the pace of the other Hondas, and this is positive. My mission this weekend is to help the team as much as possible; that's the goal. We've struggled with the grip and are trying to find the solution to take a step forward.
