Difficult Friday for Nakagami at the Spielberg
LCR Honda IDEMITSU rider Takaaki Nakagami has finished 18th on Friday.

One of the keys this weekend is understanding the different tyre compounds and making the most out of them, as the Austrian surface demands. Besides focusing on that, Nakagami and the crew have been gathering information and comparing the various packages to improve and take a step forward on Saturday.
LCR Honda CASTROL replacement rider Iker Lecuona has finished 22nd.
Spaniard Lecuona, replacing for the second time Alex Rins as he’s still recovering, has been helping the team to improve the package. On Friday, Iker and the crew have been adjusting and understanding the electronics to find the best setup to push on Austrian soil. Adapting to the different tyre compounds is one of the keys this weekend, and they’ve been working on that.

This morning, we finished the first session in a good position, but the reality is that we were not that fast. In the afternoon, we tried to push to secure a Q2 spot, but we couldn't. We are comparing different packages this weekend that hopefully will help us improve in the future.

Overall, I'm happy because we've taken small steps and can see some improvements session after session. The track is quite bumpy, which doesn't help when trying to push. In any case, let's see what happens. I feel motivated.
