Tough Qualifying day at Motegi for Furusato and Buasri

We have just completed the Qualifying session of the Japanese Grand Prix. The conditions were slightly challenging due to small drops of rain on the track, which left it not entirely dry. Nevertheless, Taiyo Furusato managed to secure a spot in Q2, delivering a solid lap time. He finished 13th in the second qualifying session, we hoped for a better result, but we’ll see how things going in tomorrow’s race.
Tatchakorn Buasri will need to improve his speed for the race tomorrow. I expect him to make a strong step forward. Starting from 25th position, he will need a good start to fight for points.

I’m not entirely satisfied with today’s result, but I must say that I am pleased with the improvements made on the bike since yesterday. The bike’s performance feels much better, but I couldn’t push harder in Q2 as my feeling wasn’t optimal to go for maximum speed. We made small progress today, and I’m hopeful that we can make another step forward tomorrow and compete for important positions in tomorrow’s race.

Today was quite challenging for me, as the mixed track conditions made me feel uncomfortable during Qualifying. The track wasn’t fully dry, which added more difficulty to ride. However, I take full responsibility for the result, and with the team, we’ll work hard to turn things around.
I hope tomorrow’s track conditions will be more consistent—either fully wet or dry, but not mixed like today. I apologize to the team and supporters for this performance, and tomorrow I’ll give my all to achieve a better result here at Motegi.
