The Second Row for Furusato as Aji and Buasri Suffer in Buriram

Taiyo could have even gotten a better position, but when setting the fastest lap time, he found a rider stopped in the middle of the corner and fell to avoid the impact. Mario and Tatchakorn had problems managing a chaotic qualifying session and will start tomorrow's race from very backward positions.

The weather conditions continued to be extremely hot today. Furusato managed to finish P6. He had an option even for a better result, but he had an incident on the track, and he crashed. Aji and Buasri have finished on the back of the grid, struggling with this hot and with the management of the session, with many people waiting around the track. It was a challenging qualifying session for all of us; we want to be better tomorrow in the race.

Usually, I should be happy to finish on P6, equalling my best grid position ever. But I think I had a clear option for a better result. On my last flying lap, until sector two, I was 0.3 seconds under the fastest time. It's disappointing because I didn't crash because of me. A rider in front of me stopped in the corner, looking behind. And to avoid the clash, I hit. Riding alone, I have the speed, which means I have the pace for the race.

The feeling on the bike was better today. The progression is well, around 0.7 quicker than last year. I did everything, but it wasn't enough. I continue losing a lot in the two first sectors. It's challenging to find a way to reduce the gap there. In Q1, there was so much chaos it wasn't easy to manage it for me. In any case, I'm optimistic about making a good race tomorrow.

I cannot be happy about this result. In Q1, I had enough speed to finish in a better position. In the previous sessions, I was only 0.9s from the top. But in Q1, for the first time, I found some situations and strategies from the rivals challenging to manage. At the last moment, I tried to do one flying lap alone, but that lap wasn't good. We will see tomorrow; I will continue betting on scoring points.
