First seasonal points for Furusato

The young Honda Team Asia rider rode an impeccable race, lapping below his times in practice and battling with some of the top riders in the class to finish tenth. Good race also for Mario Aji, in some moments of the race in the fight for the points. The debut of Tatchakorn Buasri, who has accumulated experience to finish 25th.

It has been a very long race. Our three riders fought all the laps, finishing it. Taiyo finished in a brilliant 10th, scoring his first points of the season. Mario fought as well to score points, but he finally finished 19th. About his first experience of Tatchakorn in GP’s, he has managed to finish 25th. I would say that we had a good race, a good weekend. We are happy about our progress, but we would like to be even better next week.

First, I’m happy to finish the race after two races in a row crashing. We’ve been fighting to score points with many top riders. Even my lap time was the best of the weekend, with a great pace all the laps. I feel that I’m improving a lot, and I would like to continue in this way.

Overall, I’m happy about the race and the weekend. My feeling about the bike increased a lot from FP1. I could make constant lap time, even with the fastest pace. It’s a shame because we fought too much in the group. We caught the front group in the middle of the race but lost them again because we were fighting behind. My team and I are happy about my performance during the race, much faster than last year. I know the position isn’t in the points, but we keep this motivation for Assen.

Today is a fantastic day for me, my debut in the World Championship. My goal was to finish the race, avoiding crashing to get as much experience as possible. I learned a lot about setting about, riding style, and how to manage the tires. I enjoyed it, even if the result wasn’t so good, but I improved significantly.
