Qualifying for the 16th round of the Moto3 World Championship proved challenging for the Honda riders, with Fernandez securing 12th position for tomorrow's race. Jesus Rios, who delivered an impressive performance for the Rivacold Snipers Team, was the next-best Honda rider in 14th.

Fernandez's teammate, Guido Pini, who set the fastest time in Q1, will head the fifth row in 15th, ahead of Honda Team Asia's Zen Mitani and Veda Pratama in 16th and 17th respectively.

Eddie O'Shea of the GRYD Racing squad was unable to progress from Q1, with a lap time only good enough for 19th. While teammate Joel Kelso did compete in Q2, a grid penalty means the Australian will start from 23rd position.

Both SIC58 Squadra Corse riders, Casey O'Gorman and Leo Rammerstorfer, will start from 23rd and 25th respectively, with Rivacold Snipers Team's returning rider, Kiattisak Singhapong, lining up between them in 24th position.

The 17-lap race will begin at 11:00 local time on Sunday 4 October.
