Fernandez Fights to Third at Misano
Leopard Racing’s Adrian Fernandez secured a hard-fought third place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in the Moto3 race.

Starting sixth on the grid, he immediately joined the podium battle and remained in contention throughout and although he slipped to fifth midway through, Fernandez launched a determined late charge on his Honda NSF250RW, crossing the line just 0.117 seconds off victory. After 12 races, he returned to the podium with a well-earned result.
Honda Team Asia’s Taiyo Furusato, starting seventh, was targeting back-to-back podiums after his third place in Barcelona. However, a quieter race saw him finish 12th at the end of 20 laps.
Leopard Racing’s David Almansa made early progress from 13th to eighth, but a near collision with Luca Lunetta (SIC58 Squadra Corse) at Curvone forced him wide. Almansa recovered to finish 14th, while Lunetta retired.
Elsewhere, Stefano Nepa (SIC58 Squadra Corse), who started in 18th, couldn’t progress during the race and finished in the same position. The Rivacold Snipers Team riders Riccardo Rossi and Nicola Carraro finished 20th and 22nd respectively, with Carraro making a mid-race pit stop.
The race saw several retirements, including Lunetta, Eddie O’Shea and Evan Belford (GRYD – MLav Racing), Arbi Aditama (Honda Team Asia), and Marcos Ruda (Angeluss – MLav Racing).
Moto3 resumes in Japan from 26th - 28th September after a two-week break.
