Challenging Sunday in Hungary for Honda’s Moto3 riders
Top-ten finishes for Jesus Rios, Casey O’Gorman and Adrian Fernandez at Balaton Park

In a race that saw the red flags come out on the final lap, Honda’s Moto3 riders battled the 41C track temperatures to secure as many points as possible.
It was a mixed start for the NSF250RW mounted riders, with Jesus Rios (Rivacold Snipers Team) and Adrian Fernandez (Leopard Racing) both losing places off the line, while Veda Pratama (Honda Team Asia), Nicola Carraro (Rivacold Snipers Team) and Leo Rammerstorfer (SIC58 Squadra Corse) all made good progress on the opening lap.
As the race unfolded, the Honda riders struggled to keep pace with the blisteringly quick speed of the leaders and were unable to successfully make their way through the field. Eddie O’Shea (GRYD Racing) and Pratama also had to contend with going through the long lap penalty loop, due to sanctions imposed on them from yesterday’s qualifying sessions.
Despite these challenges there were top-ten finishes for Rios, Casey O’Gorman (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Fernandez, who were eighth, ninth and tenth respectively, while there were also points for Joel Kelso (GRYD Racing) in 12th place.
When the red flag came out Pratama found himself just outside of the points in 16th, with O’Shea 18th, Rammerstorfer 19th and Honda Team Asia’s Zen Mitani 20th. Unfortunately, there were DNFs for Carraro and Leopard Racing’s Guido Pini.
There will now be a short break for the Moto3 riders before they will tackle the back-to-back Czech and Dutch events, which will get underway at Automotodrom Brno (19-21 June).
