A positive step forward for Chantra and Ogura at Le Mans

The Thai Idemitsu Honda Team Asia rider was affected by the interruption of the race, and despite riding at a good pace, he made some mistakes, losing his podium chance to finish sixth. His team-mate partially overcame the problems he had suffered during the weekend, ending in an encouraging ninth position.

It has been a critical race after one red flag. Before that, Chantra and Ogura went well and jumped positions, but they struggled to get their speed back in the second race. Chantra lost some places and took time to get his rhythm. That's the fact he missed the podium because he had a good pace. We expected to be on the podium but finished 6th and 9th. Not what we expected, but we are on the way. We will see in Mugello.

My clear objective today was to finish in a podium position. The race has been race-flagged, and in the second race, I made a mistake at the start, losing some positions. After fighting with Vietti and trying to overtake him to catch the first group, I made more mistakes, losing even one place and finishing 6th. This result is far from what I expected, but I will try it again in Mugello.

We made many changes to the setup we used yesterday. This setup had some positive things but needed more to solve my main problem. But we've seen the direction to follow to work on the bike. The result and speed differ from what we wanted, but we did a step ahead; maybe slightly, but that makes me happy and positive to keep working.
