A day to forget in Assen for IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia
IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia riders Yuki Kunii and Nakarin Atiratphuvapat have completed a difficult 10th round of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship at the historic TT Circuit Assen. Starting from the back of the grid (Kunii P25, Nakarin P28), the objective for both riders was to stay consistent and gain positions throughout the race.

Unfortunately, luck was not on their side, as both riders crashed out and were unable to finish. While it's a relief that neither suffered injuries, it’s undoubtedly frustrating that the effort and progress shown throughout the weekend didn’t translate into results.
Now, it’s time to reset and refocus. The next opportunity comes in two weeks at Sachsenring — another chance to keep narrowing the gap and fighting closer to the points.

Unfortunately, today was not a good day for us in Moto2. Nakarin had a strong start, gaining positions early in the race. He was running consistent lap times in the 1’37s — very close to his qualifying pace — which is a positive sign and shows his progress. However, he crashed at Turn 7. Thankfully, he’s okay.
Yuki also had potential but unfortunately crashed out on lap 14. That means both of our riders were unable to finish the race, which is a disappointing result. But that’s racing — we’ll keep working hard and looking ahead.
I want to thank Nakarin for his effort this weekend, and now we’ll shift focus to Sachsenring, where we aim to come back stronger.

Today’s race ended with a crash, and first of all, I want to say sorry to the team. They’ve worked really hard all weekend, and I really appreciate their support.
The race started okay, but after Turn 5 I began struggling and started losing ground. I couldn’t stay with the group ahead and had to fight my way back, rider by rider. But by the time I got through, the gap had opened up too much.
Mid-race, I pushed hard to close the gap, but I made a mistake and crashed. It’s frustrating because I felt the pace was not too bad. I’ll learn from this experience and aim to come back stronger next time.

I had a good start and a strong first lap, gaining a few positions. My pace wasn’t too bad, and I managed to stay with the group ahead for the first few laps, which was really positive.
But then, I pushed a bit too hard to avoid losing contact, and I made a small mistake that led to a crash. That’s part of racing, and I just have to keep fighting and improving.
Even though the result wasn’t what I hoped for, I learned a lot during these three days, and that’s important. I’ll keep working to improve my riding style, and I’m confident better results will come soon. Thanks to everyone for their support.
