Aji and Kunii Show Progress Ahead of ArgentinaGP Race Day

In his Moto2 debut on Argentine soil, Aji continues to impress after securing a direct spot in Q2. He fought hard for a top position in the session and will start tomorrow’s race from 13th place, showing strong pace and confidence.

Meanwhile, rookie Kunii is still in the process of adapting to the track and will line up 27th on the grid. With qualifying wrapped up, both riders are now fully focused on delivering their best performance in tomorrow’s race.

During today's qualifying in Argentina, Mario Aji secured a direct spot in Q2 and delivered a strong performance, finishing less than half a second behind the leader. Position-wise, he will start from 13th, but the time gaps are extremely close, meaning everything remains open for the race. His pace has been solid, and we believe he is well-prepared to perform strongly tomorrow.
Yuki Kunii also made progress, improving his lap time by more than a second. While he will start from P27, his qualifying session showed positive signs. Our focus now shifts to race day, where we will work to maximize performance and achieve the best possible result.

I’m really happy with today’s qualifying session. Our performance in free practice was solid, and our main objective was to evaluate the race strategy while managing tire wear throughout the session. The overall feeling on the bike was quite good, though I was a bit concerned about lap times, as they were faster compared to yesterday.
Since we had already secured a spot in Q2, our focus in Free Practice 2 was on simulating race conditions rather than setting a fast lap. Fortunately, the results were positive, and I felt great on the bike.
There are still a few adjustments to make, but heading into qualifying, I was confident. The competition is very tight, but we maximized our performance today. I’m happy with the feeling on the bike—there are still areas to improve, and I’ve learned from other riders where I need to refine my approach and manage tire grip better.
This was my best qualifying result so far, and I need to stay focused, keep learning, and prepare for a tough race tomorrow. It won’t be easy, but I’ll remain concentrated and work with my team to find the best strategy.
Overall, we made significant progress today, and I feel confident on the bike. I’d like to thank my team for their incredible support—I couldn’t have done it without them. Tomorrow is a new challenge, and I’ll give my absolute best.

This morning, we had our final free practice session, and after making a major setup change from yesterday, the bike felt quite different. Unfortunately, the adjustments didn’t work as expected, and I struggled with grip. It was a tough session, but I focused on learning the track and adapting as best as I could.
For qualifying, we reverted to our previous setup while making additional refinements. The bike felt much better, but overall, it wasn’t the session I was hoping for. That said, we still managed to improve our lap times, which is a positive step forward.
This is my first time racing here, so I’m gaining valuable experience. The key is to stay focused, keep pushing, and make the most out of tomorrow’s race. I won’t give up—I’ll continue learning and give my best effort.
