Aji delivers a correct performance on home soil despite lack of reward

Mario Aji finished 19th in his home race, battling until the end in pursuit of points. Unfortunately, Somkiat Chantra faced a challenging race, as he was involved in an incident that injured his right leg, forcing him to retire from the race.

Today was not our day. Somkiat Chantra had an excellent start, moving up to P5 after starting from ninth. However, everything changed at turn 10, where another rider collided with him, causing an injury that forced him to retire. We sent him to the hospital for further evaluation and are still awaiting detailed information. We hope the injury isn’t serious.

Mario Aji fought hard within the top 20 riders, ultimately finishing 19th. While his lap times indicated potential for a better result, we are slightly disappointed that he didn’t secure points in his home Grand Prix. Looking ahead to the Japanese Grand Prix, we expect him to demonstrate further progress and improvement.

It was an unfortunate race here in Mandalika. I had a strong start, gaining several positions and feeling confident with the bike. However, an incident at turn 10 resulted in an injury to my right leg, making it impossible to continue. I’m hopeful for a swift recovery and aim to race next weekend in Japan.

Today's race was challenging, and my riding style wasn’t up to my usual standard. This wasn’t the result I had hoped for, as we were aiming for points. A poor start made the race more difficult, and I’m somewhat disappointed with the outcome. That said, I learned a lot from this experience, and I’m eager to apply these lessons in the next race.

Motegi presents another opportunity to improve my riding style, and I’m optimistic about the progress we can make. I want to extend my gratitude to my family, my team, and all the fans at Mandalika for their unwavering support. I’m sorry we didn’t achieve the result we wanted, but we’ll continue to learn and improve.
