Somkiat will start from the fifth position tomorrow after a close qualifying session. Ogura continued to have problems in some areas of the track and will start tomorrow from a disappointing 19th position.

Ogura has struggled a lot with the hot conditions he found during Q1. Despite he improved a bit, his grid position isn’t good. Chantra was third until the last minute. Honestly, we wanted to see him in the front row. I think both are ready to fight in tomorrow’s race. The podium is possible for Somkiat, and I’m sure Ogura will pick up his pace.

IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia I’m satisfied with my grid position. I started the qualifying practice pushing hard to have a good lap time from the beginning, but I made some mistakes. I found Acosta, and I tried to be behind him, looking at the points where he was faster, mainly in sectors 3 and 4. Following him, I did my best lap time.

IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia It hasn’t been a good qualifying session. I lost a lot of time in sectors three and four. All weekend, I struggled there, and in qualifying, the problem was there. I couldn’t improve; the lap time was slower than expected. That means that we will have a lot of work for tomorrow. Unfortunately, we cannot do so much. The problem is mainly on the riding, so that is what I need to improve.
