Both were protagonists in the qualifying session, with Ai finishing second and Somkiat fifth. Their performance over the weekend makes them clear candidates for victory.

A good performance of Ogura and Chantra today. They followed different strategies in Q2, but both worked well to manage a good lap time. Unfortunately, Chantra found traffic while doing his best lap, losing some precious time. After this joyous day, we hope to continue this momentum into the race.

I’m happy about my performance in the qualifying session. We’ve completed our planned job today in the FP3 and the Q2. At some points of the track, I struggled a little bit, but in general, we achieved our target: to be in the front row. We’re ready for tomorrow. There first, I need to get a good start. For the rest, it will depend on what happens. If I lead it, I will try to do my pace. If not, I will try to chase the leaders. We will see. The target is victory; I don’t have any this year. Hopefully, we will do a good race.

On FP3, we had a perfect setup that allowed me to beat my best lap time in more than 0,3 seconds from last year. That showed that we could fight for a place in the front row. On my first attack, I lost time due to a yellow flag, and in the second, I found traffic. In any case, I feel ready for the race. I’m sure we will enjoy it!
