・Championship leader Alex Palou runs fourth, Colton Herta finishes fifth
・Honda drivers now sit 1-2-3 in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES Championship

Linus Lundqvist led the way for Honda at the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway outside of St. Louis—finishing third and scoring his second-career NTT INDYCAR SERIES podium.

The Chip Ganassi Racing driver made bold moves on the final restart to go from fifth to third in the closing laps of the race. His Chip Ganassi teammate, Alex Palou, drove a smart race from 16th on the grid to fifth at the line in his No. 10 Honda. Palou was promoted to fourth following a post-race penalty for Colton Herta.

The fourth-place result kept him in command of the championship, with an unofficial lead of 59 points with four races remaining.

Herta crossed the line fourth in his Andretti Global Honda after starting at the rear of the field following a crash in qualifying, but was dropped one position to fifth following a late-race penalty. Despite the position loss, Herta moves to second in the championship with 386 points to 445 for Palou.

Scott Dixon, who finished 11th tonight when caution flags played havoc with his Chip Ganassi Racing pit strategy, remains third in the title fight as the Kiwi seeks his record-tying seventh championship win.

Meyer Shank Racing's Felix Rosenqvist showed speed all weekend, setting the second-fastest time in qualifying and coming home P6 in another strong result for the Ohio-based team. His MSR teammate David Malukas started on the front row, ran in podium contention and led 11 laps before late-race contact with Will Power took him out of the race.

Mega race. Kind of had a bit of everything. Early on we were on a fuel save strategy. But there was a stint in the middle where we pushed to the max, absolutely flat out. And then towards the end, we had five of six laps to kind of let everything happen. I'm extremely happy to walk away with a podium here.

I mean, we survived a very long day, and into the night! We knew that it was going to be a long, long race with lots happening. So goal #1 was to survive. We did that, and then some. We got some good championship points. Could have been a little bit better. Obviously, you always want to win, but glad everything worked out for the 10 car here.

I can't be that mad, but I am disappointed I got knocked off the podium. It would've been awesome to finish in the top three after starting at the back of the field. But tonight was some of the best INDYCAR racing we've had all year. Passing was plentiful. You could get around guys when you had a better car, but you still had to work at it. I'm pretty happy. The Gainbridge Honda was super fast, as we showed all night. So yeah, ready for more ovals – and Portland.

Not the result we were seeking, obviously, but encouraging to see a definite improvement in our short oval performance over the course of the weekend. It was good to see multiple Honda-powered cars in contention tonight, and we leave with three drivers at the top of the championship. Thanks as always to everyone at HRC and our partner teams.
