Kakunoshin Ohta started by racing karts at the age of three and is a Honda Formula Dream Project graduate. He has raced in both open and closed wheel championships - ending 2025 third in the Super Formula Championship.

2025 also saw him make his IMSA debut at the Rolex 24, as part of a five-race program between Acura MSR and Era Motorsport's LMP2 program.

This year will see him back at the Rolex 24 with Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian, competing alongside Renger van der Zande, Nick Yelloly and Alex Palou in the #93 Acura ARX-06.
