Acura podiums at Sebring

Acura has started the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season with back-to-back podium finishes, with the #93 Acura Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian ARX-06 taking third place in the 12 Hours of Sebring.

The trio of Nick Yelloly, Renger van der Zande and reigning NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Alex Palou bounced back from a difficult season-opener at the Rolex 24 at Daytona to claim the final step of the podium after a grueling 12 hours around the bumpy Sebring track.

The third-place finish marks the first Acura podium for all three drivers aboard the Phillips 66-backed #93, and the first podium for HRC in their expanded role within the team. Beginning in 2025, HRC is calling strategy and race-engineering the #93 ARX-06 and have now claimed their first top-three finish as part of that effort.

It was an unfortunate reversal of fortunes for the #60 Acura MSR ARX-06—after a stellar second-place finish at Daytona, Sebring was not quite as fruitful. While the trio of Colin Braun, Tom Blomqvist and IndyCar legend Scott Dixon spent much of the race in the fight for a podium, their efforts would come undone with three hours remaining in the race due to contact in the pitlane.

The team worked hard to repair the #60, and the Acura MSR team would see the car come home P10.

Acura now sits second in the IMSA manufacturers' championship standings after two races of the 2025 season.

The 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship heads to the West Coast for the home race of Acura and HRC, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 12th.

First podium in red for Acura and Meyer Shank Racing and I'm pretty happy about it. We didn't have quite enough speed for the Porsches in that one unfortunately and it was a straight fight at the end for about 18 to 20 laps. I'm very happy to get my first podium for HRC, Acura, MSR and my teammates Alex [Palou] and Renger [van der Zande]—they drove fantastically all day. I've finished second and third at Sebring and now next year we need to get that win.

I don't want to say it feels like a victory, but it feels like a victory. It was one of those races where we didn't have the pace or the power to really attack at all. But I think defensively we made it to the podium. The Meyer Shank and Acura guys all together did an amazing job on strategy and that's why we are on the podium. We can be very proud of that and very excited to build from here.

Great day! I'm super happy. It's not a win, but number three is still good! It's my first podium with the Acura MSR team, and the first podium for me in GTP. It's a good result for the #93. We were looking good in Daytona, but we got unlucky there. We had some struggles here as well throughout the day, at some point we were struggling a lot on pace, but everybody at HRC and MSR did a great job working on the car and making sure we were there at the end to fight for the podium. I think it's a great result, it feels like a win. I'll be for sure cheering for these guys while I'm doing my IndyCar races, and I can't wait for the next endurance race.

I've never had a good result here and unfortunately this year was the same. The race was kind of all over the place for us, we were at the back and then at the front. And then we had issues getting out of pit lane and one car wasn't properly in the fast lane and I had to manoeuvre around another car and it was just too tight and I broke the front left [suspension]. I'm obviously very disappointed for the guys and I think we could have had both cars fighting for third and fourth.

Super excited for the #93 guys to get a podium for Acura. For us, it was a tough deal on pit lane. Kind of an uneventful, eventful day. Everyone did a great job on the timing stand and we had good pit stops, Tom and Scott did great in the car. You have days like we had today, that's motor racing. It was a long fight and I'm glad we were able to bring it home. I'm proud of the guys for getting the car fixed back up and for Tom for hanging in there and doing his thing. You're going to have bumps along the way in the championship and we'll get it back together and go on to the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Definitely a trying day for sure. We had a burst of speed here and there. I think we could have fought for the podium but ultimately we had the pit stop altercation with the BMW and that kind of took us out of it. But huge thanks to the crew for getting the car back together so that we could at least finish out the race!

First podium for HRC car #93! Hats off to all the men and women that have put in a huge effort to get us to this point. It's been a voyage of discovery to get to this point, but we are now P3 on the podium and second in the manufacturers' championship. Still a lot to learn, and a lot of progress to make. But, it's been a really solid start and I think everyone can be really proud of themselves. Well done HRC and MSR! Superb teamwork across both car #60 and car #93. The amount of enthusiasm and effort is delightful and humbling. It's a pleasure to work with this group and we just have to keep getting better each time out.
