MCS4-24
The FIA F4 Japanese Championship is also known for using vehicles that are made with major components developed and produced by domestic companies, following a one-make formula.
The 1st generation (Gen 1) cars were used for nine years from the first season in 2015 until 2023, supporting the series. However, in response to increasing safety demands, the FIA led the transition to 2nd generation (Gen 2) cars. As a result, from 2024, Toray Carbon Magic developed and supplied the one-make chassis, MCS4-24, and although the engine will continue to be supplied by TOM'S, the new TOM'S TMA43 engine, which is 20 horsepower more powerful, will be introduced.
Both the 1st and 2nd generation cars provide high performance as entry-level formula cars while adhering to the FIA's cost cap regulations, significantly contributing to reducing the cost of participation.
Additionally, in the FIA F4 Championship, Dunlop supplies control tires, and all cars compete using the same chassis, engine, and tires. This ensures a high level of equality in hardware, meaning that the skill of young drivers plays a significant role in determining race results.
