On Saturday 4 July, the Sprint Race for FIA F3 Round 5 was held at Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom.

Silverstone Circuit
The venue for Round 5, which marks the halfway point of the 2026 FIA F3 season, is Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom. The 5.891km circuit is known for its many high-speed corners. Although Silverstone is regarded as a circuit where overtaking can be difficult, no FIA F3 Feature Race at Silverstone has been won from pole position since 2022, so battles were expected throughout the field.
Sprint Race: P16 on the grid → P18
The 18-lap Sprint Race started at 9:35am on Saturday 4 July in dry conditions. With the top 12 from qualifying reversed on the grid, battles developed throughout the field from the opening moments, although there were no major incidents and the race proceeded smoothly.
Starting from 16th on the grid, Kato lost one position on the opening lap, but recovered 16th place on lap 2. He then spent much of the race chasing the car in 15th within DRS range and looked for a chance to move up, but was unable to find a way past. Kato lost two positions on the final lap and took the chequered flag in 18th.
