On Day 2, I only did two or three laps. Due to the limits on the number of tires, our objective in these tests was to have Zarco learn the track, improve his average times, and get a feel for the pace. I think we did that. The temperature was cooler today, much cooler than we expected, but I think we were able to check what we wanted to. Even though I did not get many laps in to test the bike, I was left with a positive impression. I will work on fine tuning the bike during race weekend.

Due to the limit on the number of tires, I did not ride in the morning session, but in the afternoon I was allowed to do a long run, and I think we were able to make progress as I could keep the pace up toward the end. We have been able to do long runs at every test, and a 27 lap stint is becoming less and less of a challenge to me. I heard that Takahashi worked on the bike and found a good direction, and I think we are improving overall. I was given concise advice, and I feel that I have grown as a person. I hope to show the results of my efforts in the race.

I was able to learn the track by riding a lot during these two days. Takahashi is very fast, so I tried to learn from him and keep as much as possible. I think we had a really enjoyable test. MotoGP races last about 40 minutes, but a Suzuka 8 Hours stint lasts an hour. I had never raced for such a long time before. I was nervous on Day 1 because it was all new to me, but gradually I became more relaxed and could ride better. I think I will be able to ride better in the race. I will have MotoGP races between now and the Suzuka 8 Hours, but I will try to keep this feeling as long as possible so that I don’t forget, and come back to Suzuka.

I think it was good that everyone was able to spend a lot of time on the bike for the past two days. As we refined the machine, all three of us were able to find enough confidence in the bike to go on long runs today, so I take that as a positive. I’m disappointed about the red flag in the morning as I didn’t have a good feel for the bike yet, but I think it was good for me physically and emotionally to be able to do a 27-lap long run in the afternoon, despite some mechanical issues. All three of us have good pace, so if we can bring this out in the race, I think we will be able to achieve good results. I have high expectations.

The bike became easier to ride and all three of us were able to do long runs, so I think we were able to complete the test items we had planned. We still have to work on improving average times, so I hope to have more meetings with the team and work on them for the race weekend. Since I have been racing in Spain recently, the Suzuka 8 Hours is the only race for me in Japan. So to me, the Suzuka 8 Hours is special. We will do our best with all our energy, and hope everyone will support us!

Since yesterday, we have been working on the settings and have been able to achieve consistent laps. Today, we had an issue in the morning session and could not finish our race simulation, but the bike was faster and the overall results were positive. We will do our best in the race, so I hope you all enjoy the race and give us your support!

I injured my right hand during the Asian Road Racing Championship and was unable to participate in the first public test, but I had heard good impressions of the bike from my two teammates. We did a lot of work, collected data, and spent a lot of time setting up the bike to solve the issues for the race. Both Andi and Nakarin were able to set better times than last year, and all three of us had the same feeling. With a month to go until race weekend, I will do my best to get in shape, perfect the bike, and work with all the riders to set faster times than last year so that we can finish in the top 5.

The bike felt good throughout the tests. Although track conditions were difficult for everyone yesterday with low grip, today was better.  I went on a long run today, and the bike performed well. All three of us were able to confirm fuel consumption with the final race setup. All three of us also went on long runs, preparing us better for the race. In endurance racing, good pace and no mistakes are vital. Our goal is high, and were aiming for a top 5 finish.

I have ridden 1000 cc bikes in the Asia Road Racing Championship. This year is my second year in the Suzuka 8 Hours, and I am confident in my ability to ride the 1000 cc bike. In this test, I was able to do a long run. I managed to improve my lap times by riding with Andi’s settings, and set consistent times. In the race, I will cooperate with everyone and aim for the top 5!
