His performances there and in the TCR Europe series earned him a full-time drive the following year, and Attila became the WTCR's youngest ever polesitter in Vila Real - a record he still holds. He took his first podiums in 2020, finishing third at Zolder and on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and went one better in 2021 as he took his first victory at Estoril to become the series' second-youngest winner. His strong form in Portugal continued in 2022, where he claimed a second-place finish in Vila Real - three years after retiring while leading - that marked LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler's first WTCR podium as a Honda customer.
