Fourth consecutive victory for Bou in TrialGP

The Repsol Honda Team rider reigns supreme in Andorra, with teammate Gabriel Marcelli also in strong form.

The Repsol Honda Trial Team riders ended the Andorran TrialGP in Sant Júlia de Lòria on Sunday, with Toni Bou the winner and Gabriel Marcelli claiming a spot on the podium in third place.

On the first lap, rain in the first zones meant added difficulty for all participants. As he had done the previous day, Bou took the lead early on, with 18 penalty points. On the second lap the rain stopped and the ground began to dry out. The Montesa Cota 4RT rider remained unbeatable and completed a perfect lap for the win -his fourth in a row.

Marcelli also leaves Sant Júlia de Lòria with great results. On the first lap, the slippery and muddy areas due to rain made things tricky, and Marcelli accrued 44 points that put him in fifth place. On the second lap, the Repsol Honda Team rider felt more comfortable with the drier zones and improved in each of them, conceding just 8 points. Finally, with 52 points, he rounded off the podium.

Bou continues to lead the overall standings with 80 points, followed by Marcelli in second with 64. The next round for the team will be in Italy, next weekend.

It has been a very positive weekend for us. We arrived in Andorra with a lot of confidence and everything went very well. We always work to achieve these good results, but it is rare that you manage to do it. I am very happy with the points and above all with everything about my performance this weekend. After these four very important races for us, at Honda's 'home' round and now at my second home, we are going to Italy with a very good feeling. We will try to continue in the same way. It will be tough but we have maximum confidence and we will try to achieve the best possible result.

Today went quite well, even though on the first lap I didn't feel completely comfortable. The ground was quite wet and I was skidding a lot, in conditions that are not my strong suit. But luckily on the second lap the sun came out and the zones dried out a bit. We gave it everything and we achieved a third position which is very important for the championship. I hope to continue like this during the season and I want to thank the team.

Both yesterday and today, Toni did an excellent job. From the first lap he managed to pull away from the rest and on the second lap his objective was to finish with 0 penalty points -and he achieved it. It's been a top weekend. Gabri started the day with knee discomfort after yesterday's race and we were uncertain about whether he would be able to ride or not. Many thanks to the team's physiotherapist, who managed to get Gabri out in the best condition possible. These inconveniences diminished his performance on the first lap and the rainy conditions didn't help him either, but on the second lap he managed to come back and continue achieving his objectives. As a team we are performing very well and we will continue working on in the same way.
